This has become one of my favorite places to visit in Ireland!  It's a short distance from Dublin (approx. 45 km.) and full of Irish charm in the beautiful countryside in the Wicklow Mtns.  

The price of 10 euros for adults includes admission to the grounds of Powerscourt Gardens, which  were recently voted No.3 in the World’s Top Ten Gardens by National Geographic. The Gardens stretch over 47 acres and include statues, fountains, and various types of trees, flowers and shrubs.  The beginning designs of the gardens began in 1731 and even include Pepperpot Tower, which made for a great photo op for our friends who were visiting Ireland for the first time!

I highly recommend a stop at the gardens to take in the beauty of Ireland and the breath taking views of the Wicklow Mountains.
